3. There are two ways to publish your web site- you can publish files through a software package you've created your site with, or you can upload the files through an FTP program. When you log into your web site, you should look for a directory called "www" in your home directory. Place all content you wish to make accessible on your web site in this directory. For example, placing a file called "test.txt" in your "www" directory would allow users to view the file at http//www.YOURDOMAIN.com/test.txt .

4. If you already have a domain name, we will automatically query the company you registered that domain with (the registrar). You will receive an email from that company asking you to confirm that you want to transfer the domain. You must respond within the timeframe (usually three days) to confirm the transfer .

8. To view your site at the IP address, use this formula- we’ll use a sample IP address of
44.55.666.77
Take the last two section of numbers (666.77) and replace the “.” with a “ – “ (666-77). Now add .vhost.compuhost.com, so that the whole thing reads: 666-77.vhost.compuhost.com.
You’d view your site at http://66-77.vhost.compuhost.com
If you have registered a new domain for this web site, the new domain name has to be released to all the nameservers. This takes between 48 - 72 business hours. After that time period, you'll be able to access your web site by typing your domain name into any browser's address bar. If you are transferring a domain name, you will need to authorize the domain transfer. After you authorize the transfer, it typically will take between 48 - 72 hours for the domain to resolve to your new IP address.
